Whether in the form of clusters or stand-alone venues, Shanghai is buzzing with cultural and creative activities.
Since 2005, city authorities actively promoted the development and growth of cultural and creative clusters to re-define Shanghai’s international image and in 2010, Shanghai was nominated City of Design by UNESCO.
Whether in ex-industrial facilities or new building, today there are about 80 creative clusters and art districts in Shanghai’s central districts alone, resulting in a very diversified offer in the city.
The scene is characterized by creative minds from China as well as from Shanghai’s large international community, all seeking entrepreneurial as well as creative opportunities.
