WHAT CLIENTS SAID ABOUT US

For a delegation of Austrian health industry professionals we had booked an excursion with SHANGHAI FLANEUR on the topic of "Shanghai Mega City on the Move". We were guided by architect Fanny-Hoffmann Loss. Our feedback: Excellent! Super interesting topic, a lot of insider and background information, very different to the usual sightseeing tours. We were truly impressed by the experts knowledge and dedication and would recommend her straight away to any other client.

Christina Schösser, Consul Commercial Affairs, Austrian Consulate General, Shanghai, Nov. 2015

In the frame of our annual Executive Training program for worldwide managers we invited SHANGHAI FLANEUR to design a city learning program for our participants. The program was very well designed and organized. Under the guidance of SHANGHAI FLANEUR expert Fanny Hoffmann-Loss, our group strolled around between the skyscrapers with stunning views from below and above. Fanny has not only the expertise in architecture but also long years working and living experience in China. She tells the story from two perspectives, the technical and the intercultural point of view. It was a really enriching and interesting event. People really liked it.

On the occasion of an associates meeting we have walked with SHANGHAI FLANEUR expert Bert de Muynck on the topic of "Shanghai Mega City on the Move".
The walk was instructive and relaxing at the same time. We learnt about the past and the present of the city without being overwhelmed by too much information. The unique side of the walk was the uncommon way to visit some places that we all know here: entering the Peace Hotel via a small door, visiting an art gallery in a non renovated building in the Peninsula area, taking the ferry to go to Pudong, etc.

Gregory Rastello, carewan Asia – Managing Director

As a context-setter prior to our Shanghai module for the EMBA in Creative Leadership I participated the Flaneur walk “Tycoons and Tyrants, Writers and Revolutionaries” with Duncan Hewitt, the author of “Getting Rich First” and former BBC correspondent. He took us through his own neighborhood, and we went through hidden streets and courtyards, even into houses. He shared his very personal encounters with us. It was very special. Thanks to Duncan’s extensive knowledge on China it was a good way to get a better understanding of Chinese life and society.

Susan Schronen, Managing Director Berlin School of Creative Leadership

For the participants of MERCK executive training program 2015 we did a walking program with SHANGHAI FLANEUR. The skyline stroll on the topic of 'Megacity on the Move' was an interpretation of Shanghai's history from the architectural aspect using a walking program as methodology. This walking program was not a visiting tour which only skims through the city but a tailor-made deeper city discovery for people who are interested in more than getting a broad overview. Shanghai Flaneur is offering with its services more qualified options for event organisers.

In November SHANGHAI FLANEUR organized a walk for our Shanghai Centre residents. The insightful historian and writer Andrew Fields led the group on an interesting route through parts of Shanghai’s Former French Concession following Chinas revolutionary traces. The feedback by the participants was very positive. They appreciated that Shanghai Center offered the walk as an activity to get more familiar with the city and to have the opportunity to meet each other. From our side, we were satisfied with the organization.
