The idea
SHANGHAI FLANEUR offers an innovative approach of learning in the city, about the city, around city issues. We use walking as a methodology to transfer knowledge, stimulate creativity, create local awareness and encourage open-mindedness. With varying backgrounds and topics – architecture, history, culture, photography, urbanization and China studies – the SHANGHAI FLANEUR experts represent something like a ‘walking think-tank’.

The approach
SHANGHAI FLANEUR offers ‘walking workshops’ which are a mix between a guided urban field trip, an in-depth discussion and a professional development. They combine lectures and talks with walks and excursions in the urban space.
