founder of SHANGHAI FLANEUR, studied business, China studies and Chinese in Bremen/Germany and Chengdu/China, and has lived and worked in Shanghai since 1999. As developer of the concept of Shanghai Flaneur, she is responsible for pooling creative people, building the network of experts, designing new Flaneur products and creating partnerships with different organizations. As representative of the city of Hamburg, Shanghai’s partner city, for several years, she put together numerous programs for political, cultural and business delegations with interesting locations and speakers.

With her background of 15 years of professional experience in Europe-China cooperation in various positions, Katja also works as an independent project developer and consultant, e.g. she recently acted as the producer and editor-in-chief of the Europe-China Cultural Compass project (published 2011).  She is the founder of CONSTELLATIONS International Shanghai, offering ideas, development and management across sectors and cultures with a focus on education, culture and sustainable development.
